How to judge the actual driving distance of electric wheelchairs for the elderly?

The motor depends on power and speed. The smaller the power, the smaller the output current, the less power consumption, and the more power it saves; the slower the speed, the smaller the output current, and the more power it saves.

The motor depends on power and speed. The smaller the power, the smaller the output current, the less power consumption, and the more power it saves; the slower the speed, the smaller the output current, and the more power it saves. The more energy-saving an electric wheelchair is, the longer its battery life will be. The battery mainly depends on the capacity. The larger the capacity, the higher the storage capacity, and the electric wheelchair will naturally run farther. There is no need to pay attention to its voltage. As a medical device, electric wheelchairs are generally equipped with 24-volt low-voltage batteries.

First of all, the fastest speed of common electric wheelchairs on the market is generally 6km/h, and the basic nominal range is 10-50 kilometers. The actual range of 10-30 kilometers is considered good. If you want to know how many batteries and motors are needed for an electric wheelchair with a range of 10km, you can use the following formula to calculate:

1. Working current = single motor power ÷ 24V (rated voltage)

2. Battery life = marked battery life Mileage ÷ 6km/h (fastest speed)

3. Battery capacity = working current Battery.

But if you switch to a heavy-duty electric wheelchair with a single motor of 250W, theoretically you need to switch to a 17A battery. As you can see from the above, if you want to run a distance of 10 kilometers, an electric wheelchair with a single motor of 150W must be equipped with at least a 10A battery; an electric wheelchair with a single motor of 250W needs a battery of more than 17A. If the cruising range is 20 kilometers or 30 kilometers, the battery capacity and motor power will also increase to varying degrees.
